Sister Helen Rolfson alerted us of the article in the Minneapolis Star Tribune of September 20, 2020, which carried a mention of the story of the Rochester tornado of 1883 and founding of Saint Marys Hospital / Mayo Clinic. Sister Helen also shared, “Then, two nights ago, [9/23/2020] The Weather Channel was having a special program on famous tornadoes, and a segment was concentrated on… you guessed it!… the story of Mayo and Mother Alfred. Funny thing, though, they didn’t mention W.W. Mayo, just the two sons! But they surely didn’t forget Mother Alfred!”
