Sister Loretta Gerk was interviewed to share memories of a former student, Kendrick Castillo, who lost his life in a high school shooting that took place on May 7 in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Cokie Roberts of NPR and ABC News was in Minnesota in May to speak about the ways we can contribute to making America – and the world – a better place spoke highly of religious leaders building the country. She spoke highly of women religious leaders building the country and stated that Mayo Clinic would not be here without the Sisters of St. Francis.
