Join Us for a Special One-Day Retreat at Assisi Heights

Knowing the busy lives we all lead, we have decided to offer a special one-day retreat opportunity on Saturday, June 14, from 9:00 am-4:00 pm. John Petrikovic’s presentation, Hearing and Making Music in Francis’ Song of the Creatures: Can You Hear Creation Sing?, will include quiet reflection with input that will grace your spirit with inspiration.
This day will include two sessions by John Petrikovic, OFM Cap., a Capuchin Franciscan friar priest in the Ministry of Preaching, offering workshops on Franciscan topics. The first session is at 9:00 am, followed by a Noon luncheon. After lunch, you may take time to reflect on the morning session while you experience the peaceful atmosphere (indoors or outdoors) at Assisi Heights. All will gather again for a final session at 3:00 pm.
Can you hear Creation Sing? In Pope Francis’ encyclical, Laudato Sí (in its own 10th anniversary) envisions a creation intended to delight. We’ll reflect on how the Pope feared we might muddle and distort its song and, maybe, help its song be heard.
