Using practical real-life examples, Mayo Clinic’s Dr. Edward Creagan will share with us the tsunami of dementia and related disorders in our community. He will clarify normal aging, “Now, where are my glasses?” from mild cognitive impairment and complex dementia disorders.
He will empower us to understand the importance of actionable lifestyle interventions to enhance our cognitive and executive functioning. He will demystify some of the recent research developments that offer promise to patients and families during a very difficult transition in life.
Dr. Edward Creagan is a medical oncologist who practiced at Mayo Clinic for more than forty Minnesota winters until he transitioned into the orbit of digital health and health information in 2018. He is the author of the triple award-winning book called How Not to Be My Patient: A Physician’s Secrets for Staying Healthy and Surviving Any Diagnosis. His second book is about death and dying issues, titled Farewell, which provides the answers to vital end-of-life questions. He blogs regularly on his website, AskDoctorEd.com, and can be followed daily on Instagram, X, and TikTok.
