Emilie Teresa Smith is an Argentine-born, Canadian-raised writer and Anglican priest. She is the rector of a small church on the edge of Vancouver, B.C., and is also the co-president of the global Oscar Romero Network, SICSAL. In this capacity Emilie travelled to and attended the COP30 summit. She has visited most regions of Abya Yala (Latin America) and has been to the Vatican twice (as a visitor to the Amazonian Synod and the first Synod on Synodality). She is married, and the mother of three sons, and five grandchildren.
