Bonnie Sokolov is an accredited instructor of T’ai Chi Chih Joy Thru Movement, a certified Integral T’ai Chi and Qigong teacher, and a certified instructor of Dr. Yang Yang’s Evidence Based Taiji and Qigong.

She began studying T’ai Chi Chih in January 1998 and received her teacher accreditation in St Paul, MN in June 2001. She received her certification to teach Advanced T’ai Chi Chih January 2004 in San Jose, CA. In May 2006 she enrolled in The Institute of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi.  She completed the 200-hour training program January 2008 in Santa Barbara, CA. She began studying with Dr. Yang Yang in 2009 and completed his training program in November of 2010. She has also completed Level 1 and Level 2 training in Spring Forest Qigong with Master Chunyi Lin.

Bonnie began teaching in Rochester, MN in the fall of 2001. She taught classes at the Rochester Area Family Y for 15 years and was an adjunct instructor at Rochester Community and Technical College, teaching T’ai Chi and Meditation for 9 years. She also taught through Rochester Community Education, offering both beginning and continuing classes and gave seminars in the Cancer Patient Education Center at the Mayo clinic.

She is currently semi-retired, teaching only for the Spirituality Center at Assisi Heights.
