Amber Engelhardt has been making and selling art in the Rochester area since 2012. As a mixed-media artist, she combines supplies such as watercolors, acrylics, patterned papers, collected ephemera, photos, alphabet stamps, and simple pencil sketches all into one creation. Currently, her favorite outlet is Art Journaling, where she combines supplies and techniques to create pages influenced by vintage botanical books and nature field guides. Over time, Amber has found the daily practice of Art Journaling, combined with nature, faith and her love for her family have become cornerstones of her well-being. Amber has a passion for sharing the benefits of this creative process with women and teen girls through classes in her home art studio. In 2023, she launched a new facet of her business through an art camp designed especially for pre-teen and teen girls. Amber encourages her students of all ages to approach creating with child-like delight; to create unselfconsciously for the sake of presence, joy and connection. This type of creating nourishes the soul and fills the spirit.
