Yoga is a group of physical, mental, and spiritual exercises focused on bringing harmony between mind and body. It assists in improving your balance, strength, and flexibility. Participating in this Yoga class via Zoom creates time in your own space to better know your body. All are welcome. No experience is necessary.
January 16, Yoga and Myofascial Release
Fascia is a densely woven, continuous structure that covers our muscles, bones nerves, and organs. Normally fascia is pliable and moves with the body. Trauma, inflammation, and surgical procedures can cause fascia to toughen, create limitations in movement, and discomfort in the body. In this class, we will learn more about myofascial release by using Yin Yoga and common household items to release fascia.
Carolyn Isaak is a certified long time Yoga teacher in the greater Rochester Community. Carolyn holds a MS in health promotion, teaches Meditation, and trauma informed classes. She also is a Cojourner with the Sisters of St. Francis.
