Join Artyce Thomas, the Executive Director of the Women’s Shelter & Support Services, and Jeannie Thompson, Director of Youth Programming & Community Outreach at WSSC, as they lead us through an interactive presentation that explores the journeys of domestic violence victim-survivors as they navigate paths to freedom. Participants will learn about the various contexts of abuse, including coercive control, and understand the complex decisions victims face, especially battered parents protecting their children. The session also focuses on identifying key decision points in family court and developing strategies to better support these families.
Please be sure to allow a few extra minutes to pick up your visitor badge, as all guests at Assisi Heights are required to wear a badge during their visit.
