CANCELLED-Welcoming Autumn: A Guided Forest Therapy Walk
Thursday, September 10 | 6:00-8:00pm
$39 | In-Person
Presenter: Nicole Brudos Ferrara
Immerse yourself in the beauty of autumn color and change through sight, sound, scent, taste, touch, and presence.
Each walk offers a gentle, structured opportunity to slow down, reconnect with the present moment, and experience a sense of calm in a supportive outdoor setting, including:
- a brief welcome and introduction
- a series of guided sensory invitations
- quiet time for personal reflection in nature
- opportunities for optional sharing
- a closing tea ritual with light refreshments
Forest therapy (also known as forest bathing) is a practice of slowing down and connecting more deeply with the natural world. No prior experience is needed. Walks cover less than one mile and are conducted at a slow pace with frequent opportunities to pause.
Designed for participants ages 16 and older. Participants under 18 must attend with a parent or legal guardian.
Arrival:
Please plan to arrive a few minutes before the scheduled start time to allow for bathroom breaks and final preparations. Walks begin promptly, and once the group has moved into the landscape, it may be difficult to catch up.
Weather:
Walks take place in light rain. In the event of thunderstorms, unsafe conditions, or high winds, the walk will move to the listed rain backup date. Participants will be notified on the day of the walk if a change is needed.
We encourage you to register as soon as possible. Programs that do not meet the minimum enrollment two days before the scheduled date will be cancelled.
We ask all who enter Assisi Heights to recognize that this is the home of the Sisters of Saint Francis. Please be respectful of the property as well as the health of those around you and refrain from attending events if you are sick.
